Welcome
Acadia Foot and Ankle was established by Dr. F. Douglas
Reynolds in 1993 to serve the growing Bangor area. The
practice has since grown to three physicians with the addition
of Dr. Darcy in 2003 and Dr. Kendall in 2005. We are the
only practice in the area to offer complete and
comprehensive care of the foot and ankle, including rearfoot
reconstructive surgery, flatfoot reconstruction, trauma and
fracture care, tendon transfers, as well as rearfoot and ankle
fusion procedures.
Of course we also provide all aspects of normal podiatric
care including sports medicine, diabetic foot care, bunion and
hammertoe reconstruction, lower extremity dermatology, and
wound care.
Commitment to the Community
We are proud to provide care
through the Penobscot Community Health Center,
a non-profit organization governed by a board of community
volunteers. PCHC is driven by their mission to provide access,
regardless of ability to pay, for people of the Bangor region.
Drs Darcy and Kendall both provide foot and ankle care one day
per week at the Union street facility.
All our physicians are members of the American College of
Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association,
Maine Foot and Ankle Society, American Board of Podiatric
Surgery.
